The University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) invites educators and practitioners to attend and participate in the 2017 International Association of Societies of Design Research (IASDR) Conference to discuss the array of possibilities for design and design research in the century ahead.

IASDR 2017 invites paper or poster submissions from three areas of design research:

1. Fundamental Research – within a University (disciplinary and interdisciplinary):
Including history, theory, and criticism which addresses philosophical arguments that are basic to design

2. Collaborative Research – University + External Organizations:
Development of new methods, innovation, and user experience

3. Research in Practice – Public, Non-profit, Corporations, and Consultants:
Strategies and case studies that apply to the practice of design in government, industry, and consulting, including service design, interaction, products, product systems, environments, and architecture
