September is a special month of transitions and renewal in the calendar year. It marks the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere, and spring in the south. For many of our educational institutions in the north, September is when we return to a new academic cycle of new courses and new students; in the south September kicks-off the start of a last quarter of academic activities before the December holidays set in.

Cumulus welcomed 40 new members during the General Assembly, 11.6.2020. Cumulus even had the pleasure to welcome Y SCHOOLS, School of Design (France), who became a full member from an associate member.

The Secretariat will be closed until the end of July 2020.

We held the Cumulus General Assembly this past June 11. This GA was like no other in the  30th year history of our association: 200 plus of our members gathered for the first time virtually and came together to participate in a year-in-review of our association’s milestones and to ratify our plans for the year to come.

Cumulus is pleased to announce that we have entered into a new partnership for the next five years with Design Principles and Practices. Philip Kalantzis Cope (PhD, Chief Social Scientist), Mariana Amatullo (Cumulus President) and Eija Salmi (Cumulus Secretary General) had the pleaseure to sign the MOU.

The General Assembly on 11 June 2020 approved the Cumulus Strategic Plan (2019-2022). Get to know the plan here.
