The University is seeking to appoint a Professor of Communication Design to join one of its flagship departments, the Department of Communication Design and Digital Media within the School of Design. This important appointment will provide leadership in teaching and research in one or more areas of communication design, including information design, publication design in both print and digital forms as well as design strategy.
The appointee will hold a PhD and will be an acknowledged leader bringing an international reputation in communication design to one of Swinburne’s top disciplines. They will help lead and provide direction as a part of the Communication Design team to assist the School achieve its objectives as a leading institution for design education and research. The appointee will also have a demonstrable track record in gaining competitive research income, producing high quality research outcomes and conducting research in multi-disciplinary teams.
