Cumulus President Luisa Collina and Secretary General Eija Salmi signed the agreement on behalf of Cumulus on August 29, 2014 in Helsinki, Finland.

Cumulus bridged the future talent towards opportunities with tools provided by the organization sharing the heritage of the modern architecture and one single globally known architect, Mr Alvar Aalto through Alvar Aalto Foundation and Academy.

Cumulus President Luisa Collina, Cumulus Secretary General Eija Salmi together with Chair of the Foundation Mrs Päivi Hovi-Wasastjerna and Director of the Foundation and the Academy Mr Tommi Lindh gathered in the extremely inspiring and honored environment, in the home of architect Alvar Aalto (1924-1976) in Helsinki. The bilateral partnership agreement was signed on the desk of Mr Aalto.

The aim of the partnership is to share knowledge and practice in issues related to environment, modern architecture, product design and their reciprocal impact on education and research in the fields of art, design, media and architecture.

Alvar Aalto Academy has been founded as an international institution in 1999 by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and it functions under the umbrella of Alvar Aalto Foundation. The academy organises e.g. symposia, seminars and architectural meetings and exhibitions where there is an opportunity to share with Cumulus.
