Cumulus students featured in Ottagono magazine July/ August 2012
The NEW DESIGN SHOW OFF 2012 project is promoted by Cumulus International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media together with Ottagono for the purpose of giving greater visibility to up-and-coming talents on the international design scene.
Luisa Collina (professor at the Polytechnic of Milan and Vice-President of Cumulus) and Michele Capuani, (Academic Director with the IED Group) are curators for this initiative.
Our interest here is not to laud the success of those who have already achieved recognition, but rather to open new communication channels benefiting young designers who – for geographical, cultural or personal reasons – have not yet had the occasion to come to attention internationally.
The idea is therefore to provide up-and coming talents with the opportunity to make themselves known and to show off their work. Alongside this, the personal stories of these talented young individuals will be told so as to explore and highlight the different ways in which future designers are trained, in the various contexts worldwide.
