HEAD OF A DESIGN AND INNOVATION CENTER “CARE”

I – CONTEXT

The job holder is under the direct responsibility of the director of Research and Design Lab Development. He/she liaises with the other Design Lab directors in the establishment, the course leaders for Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, the heads of the school’s international branches as well as with all the related departments (business strategy, international relations, communication, etc.) In the context of the Master’s in Design degree programs, he/she is responsible for the smooth running of the training programs offered in the Care Design Lab and acts under the authority of the director of studies or his/her representative.

II – MISSIONS

1/ Direction of the Care Design Lab

Each Design Lab constitutes an ecosystem enabling L’Ecole de design to develop all the synergies necessary for financing the establishment’s academic research and supporting its development, with companies, local authorities and other economic actors. With that in mind, the main mission for the job holder consists of:
– Developing industrial partnerships and collaborative projects with companies, in connection with the socio-economic and prospective themes of eating habits.
– Launching and running a chair dedicated to innovative public actions, launched in April 2017.
– Developing institutional partnerships with other teaching establishments and research laboratories.
– Developing a national and international network in the field of expertise of the Care Design Lab, involving companies, designers, researchers, universities, etc.
– Combining the activities of the Design Lab with pedagogical development to promote an innovative teaching approach.
– Developing resources and controlling the costs of the Care Design Lab.
– Supervising a Course leader and the activity of all staff involved in Care Design Lab activities.
