Starting from next February 2016, IED Istituto Europeo di Design, will launch 3 new Master’s Degrees in the field of Design, to broaden skill and enhanced career opportunities for students willing to undertake a professional and intense training program.

By applying to one of this Master Degrees, students will have the opportunity to tackle design and creativity in a unique framework as strategic key for several sectors of economic and social activity.

The course is based on an interdisciplinary working team approach and on the practical application of design thinking processes and creative methodologies widely used by the best design agencies and think-tanks. The preliminary phases of the Master course will cover themes related to design thinking and relevant methodologies, later on students will tackle the different phases of the design process with partner companies. Strong links with main firms, both Italian and international, impart to all participants the opportunity to understand and experience real-life business situations. These connections enable external knowledge and skills in terms of design, case-studies (lifestyle, food, mobility) and business strategies. At the end of the course, participants will also take part in a curricular internship.
This Master is organized with the extraordinary collaboration of Continuum, one of the most innovative consultancies in the world of international design.

The Master in Design offers a training programme that, by integrating the methodological, technical and design aspects, gives participants the opportunity to enhance a complete professional approach, declinable and valid in various fields of work. The Master in Design prepares professional to develop the various stages of a project, ranging from concept to completion of a product (from industrial design to the living space) assessing all the aspects of a project. The teaching methodology starts from the history of design and market (strategy & business) to the concept of a project characterized by a strong identity and the real chance of being carried out.

About the Master in Car Interior Design and User Experience – Turin (held in English)

The Master focuses on research and innovation in different fields with a dedicated focus on project language activities. Furthermore the course allows student to develop their creativity supported by interface design, to sharpen tools and layout knowledge in terms of finishing, old and new materials, integrated digital platforms. Next to theory students deal with ergonomics, layout setting for interior car spaces, Alias Studio Software applied to 3D and virtual image representation through Showcase. To complete the education path additional courses will be offered in: interface, production technology, vehicle engineering, trim colour, marketing, design history and 2D digital design. The project involves workshops and simulation as well as the final thesis.
The first edition of the 1st Level Master Degree starting in February 2016, will have the most famous British luxury and sports car manufacturer as its partner: Jaguar Cars.
