Lecturer in Communication Design

New opportunities for Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Communication Design have arisen and will be required to contribute to teaching and research capabilities in one or more areas of communication design, including information design, publication design in both print and digital forms and design strategy. This will involve a range of activities including, but is not limited to:
– Delivery of lectures and tutorials.
– Convening units of study.
– Developing learning materials.
– Conducting and marking assessments.
– Conducting research.
– Supervision of postgraduate research candidates.
– External engagement with schools, industry, and government and non-government organisations.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• A PhD qualification in a discipline relevant to Communication Design and/or design innovation
• Experience of teaching at the tertiary level in the broad field of Communication Design.
• Demonstrated professional practice as a designer in the Communication Design industry, strong professional networks and evidence of expertise in design in digital formats such as for the Internet.
• Demonstrated development of relevant content and pedagogy for professional design education.
