The UTS Design Innovation Research Centre is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to investigate the impact of design-based innovation projects.

The Design Innovation Research centre has partnered with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) to use design-based methodologies to enhance their capabilities and to define and solve complex problems. The partnership involves a team of practitioners undertaking design-based interventions (projects) to solve complex problems, build design thinking capacity within the organisation. The aim is to build an evidence base on the role and value of using design on a strategic level.

As a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow you will report to the Centre Director and operate within the defence sector program, leading the research efforts of this growing partnership and undertake action research projects with defence partner projects and centre staff. You will have and have responsibility across Teaching, Research and Service dimensions – supporting the preparation and delivery of workshops, lectures and seminars. In addition you will foster (inter)national links with other research groups in this area and with industry, government and the professions.
