The field of Fashionable and Wearable Interaction is indeed emerging—and in many different directions, with different definitions, different models, different implementations. This special issue of the International Journal of Design aims to reflect on the status quo and to find new paths toward a maturity in this area of research. We are seeking high-quality, original papers that address conceptual, theoretical, methodological, and practical issues of designing for fashionable interaction—papers that will serve to enhance the overall body of design knowledge that bridges these different disciplines.

At the time of big changes in designer profession globally, the Nordic Forum for Design History Studies conference 2016 turns to examine design education. The conference aims to map the history of design education in the Nordic countries and to survey what is the status of research in this area today. The conference will reflect critically on how the history of professional education is linked to the writing of Nordic design histories and what are the relevant methods of research here.

1. TYPE OF SUBMISSIONS

Each piece that will be published by Base Diseño e Innovación must:

1. The articles submitted must be original, unpublished and exclusive property of the author/authors.
2. It should include the academic affiliation of the author/authors, pointing the professional title, university or academic institute, graduate degree and any other relevant institutional a_liation.
3. It must stand by the rules of references specified by Revista Base Diseño e Innvación.
4. Include an abstract up to 200 words and 3 keywords.
5. The images and graphics are responsibility of the author and should count with the necessary authorizations for publication, including the name or source if its necessary. These images should be sent as separate files, with a resolution of 300 dpi in JPEG or TIFF and each of them also should include a brief explaining its content.
6. Each author should include a resume up to 250 words.
7. Every manuscript should be formatted in a Word document and be sent to the following mail: bbrancoli@udd.cl.
